Wheat germ oil is a quality oil from Comed. Hallmark: “Cold process solvent extraction method”.
Comed has opted for a cold process with solvent extraction to obtain wheat germ oil. This cold process avoids pressure and heat, so that all important components (minerals and vitamins) do not degenerate.
An oil prepared through this cold process has an excellent quality because it retains all its strength and vitality.
Advantages of the cold process:
- Optimal base for a 100% pure oil.
- Longer shelf life and higher yield.
The use of a colored, dark oil is not recommended. This has been heated by pressing and undergoes oxidation (turns rancid).
Dosage: 15 ml (1 tablespoon) per kg of feed.
Breeding period: Every day 2 weeks before pairing until laying.
Every day rest of the year: 2 to 3 days before each stress period i.e. race, training etc
